Hello MsGG; I am truly sorry that you are going throught such a hard time, I can smpathize with you in your situation. But as you I am too praying for a miracle. I don't have my own house, but I know how it feels to be harass everyday by bill collectors, some of my bills are over 7 years back. Right now I am living off my Disability and a part-time job which doesn't pay much, I step out on faith and got a Van and when I did that, it seems that my money got shorter than before. I was doing alright in paying all of my bills, but now each month is a battle. I am standing on Word of the Lord!

 We have to continue to pray even when things look their darkiest.. I know it is easy said and done, then having the help we need.

But it sounds like you are a strong person in spirit so I know you will overcome this too!!!

Here's another suggestion. Go see a debt consolidation person. They may give you more suggestions than I can. YOU don't pay for the initial consulatation. If you are running out of money send a dollar a month. You are still attempting to pay so there is nothing they can do. When a collector calls speak only to a manager. They will tell you you can't, but you can. The reason is it makes them look like they can't handle the situation. IN the position you are in and all the other people right now, managers have more flexibility and can work around things better. From here on only talk to management. Once you notify the management that you know your rights and their limitations they may begin to backoff. After the first threat of any kind some states consider debt paid in full. Try this hope it works

hello MsGG's I do not think you really know how much money is given away by our goverment. My brother know the figures and it would blow your mind.. The goverment is saying Americans do not want these jobs and that is not true. I know we should not be fighting this war. All the money wasted and all our good men dying for what? This is how the goverment looks at non U.S. citizens pay them to stay here in America and they will become a citizen and then you have another vote. It is greed they want more taxes and more money to the IRS money anywhere they can get money they tax higher and higher till we are in a recession. This is how it works. Now on the other hand what can a American get if they have more then twenty four hundred dollars is the bank. They will lost their homes and all IRA's and self respect before the goverment will maybe help them out. All their years of hard work and saving are all depleted and then they can get help. MsGG's the goverment is running out of money where did it go to all the American's? You and I know the answer to that questions. One more thing when our american boy's come home disabled the help they get is so sad. One vet died under a freeway with both feet infected and eaten away. Why he could not get the medical help he needed because as every thing else the vet's are also out of money. I am a very kind person and I love all people but when it comes to our welfare I want everyone to know I am for the American's no matter what color. God bless Grace

Hope Thank you so much for this information. I have talked to them several times and the call keep coming. One other thing I am running out of money and I do not know if I can make a promise I cannot keep. Soon the payments will have to stop because my saving are almost depleted.  I have over ten collectors on my back and the amount is growing. This is a awful situation to be in and there are no words to explain what hell we all are going though. Hi MsGG's The president himself has already stated that all non Us citizens are to get welfare and God knows what else. My brother is really into the concerns of our country. He follows all the news and calls all the senators to stop all this welfare for non US citizens. My whole family makes calls because we are in a finanical hole and all the US citizens  seem to know about it but the congress seems to be blind to whats going on. We Americans have to speak up and get out there and vote for what we know is right. Our americans are losing their homes and we are going to support non citizens it is unbelieveable. This is why the United states is so in debt and will keep giving. But not to Americans oh! no let them work out their own problems. It is a sin...God Bless Grace

I understand... what you are saying...I haven't heard about the given of welfare to all (non US citizens) and I watch CNN like I read the bible. There are so many rumors that you don't know what to beleive. All I know is that BUSH didn't do nothing for 8yrs but sit back and watch this country go down hill. Give the man a chance to prove himself. And as a country we must also realize it took 8 yrs to get into this mess ..so don't expect to get out of it in 8 days.

My mother who receives disability after working over 30 years and paying into the system cannot even get food stamps.  Being unemployed I was only able to receive 3 months of stamps.  I don't even have money to pay for my medication.  So I am praying that I don't get to stressed that my BP doesn't get too high. Or that my heart beats too fast.  Time bomb walking. I do what I can to manage. And I always say my situation isn't nothing compared to millions of others who can't defend for themselves (children and the elderly) so I am truly blessed.  

You can tell your creditors that you will send them 10.00 per month period. When you are able to send more you will. Then tell them not to call you again or you will report them for harassment as you have told them the arrangement you can afford. Once you have told them not to contact you again they are binded by this. If they threaten you in any way they can also get in trouble. They don't think you know your rights so they will try any and everything. Go to a creditrepair.com website and it will tell you exactly what to say and do for free. There are no charges for this type of info. You should also put it in writing and send it certified to them. Hope this helps and good luck.

MsGG's I wanted your to know the new president wants to give all the people that are not US citizens welfare. Our United states is not broke enough. Can you believe that. I cannot receive welfare or food stamps because I have over twenty four hundred dollars in my savings account and that is what we live on. We only receive thirteen hundred and fifty dollars a month because my husband is disabled and I took early retirement I receive four hundred and ten dollars a month. Our house payment is nine hundred and fifty seven dollars. How do we pay our bills, car insurance, house insurance, utilities, phone, doctor bills and what about food. Also as sick as I am I cannot collect disability because that is a goverment help also and that twenty four hundred applies. What is a poor American suppose to do. I am all out of answers. Grace, I will keep you in my prayers as well.  God knows you have worked too hard to loose everything.  Its like no one (bill collectors) knows the meaning of empathy.

And our government (replublicans) are stalling the passing of a stimulus package that would help us the tax payer.  But are quick to bail out Citigroup who was going to buy a 50 million dollar jet. And probably would have if they could have done it under cover. 

MsGG's You are so right. I have talked to my creditor's and I am willing to send ten dollars a month on each account. That is not good enough for tlhem. So the phone keeps ringing all day and night. Do they care that I am almost losing my home of twenty eighy years hell no. I think they want me to rob a bank. I wish you the best of luck and maybe your husband with find a job very quickly. Hi Allie I am so sorry that you have to sell your home. It breaks my heart. At least on good thing the bill collectors will not have your new phone number. Please but your new number is another name because some how they can find out all your phone numbers. At this time my bill collector's have all my  phone numbers even my cell phone. I also take the phone off the hook because it drives me nuts all day and night ringing off the hook. No one knows the stress we are going though except people like us that are in this horrible situation.

I am on the computer all day and night looking for any kind of help. So far everyone is trying to make money for them selves. I will not give up how ever because of my illness it is so hard typing so long.

Oh Allison it is raining in Caliornia inside the house and outdoors also. My heart hurts so much for you and your problems. It is like looking into a mirror and seeing the same situation. I will keep looking for grants or any thing I can find and I will email the information to you as soon as I find out anything. It is so nice to have a sweet friend like yourself. Not telling me what I could have done what I should do and the whole family knows out situation.

No can't refinance we fell behind on payments. I know it sucks. I feel for you also. At least if nothing comes out of this as far as grant wise, at least we can talk to each other and just let everything out. you have a friend in me. Vent all you want. We both are in the same predictament. I think alot of us are. I told my husband about you and how I wished I could help. I really do. I use to think when I was younger how I wished I was grown and didn't have to listen to my parents. Gee was I wrong. Now I long for those care free days. Well all we can do is pray.
